Singles Events

Not sure what is going on, but it seems that there are tons of events for singles everywhere. Every street I drive down has a sign up for singles events at bars, clubhouses, and public events. I would be curious to see what these are like. I would doubt that it brings in a real attractive crowd. Also, there are sites that you can pay to join that will send you on blind dates in your area. I have never heard of anyone doing this but I would think it was a good option for people who are paying monthly elsewhere. At least this way you would get guaranteed dates for your money.

Alexa Ratings

If you are interested in finding out what dating sites have the most traffic, a good source of that informations is Alexa.com. They rank websites based on traffic. You can look at them by individual country, or global rankings. The lower the number the more visited the website is. The video below shows how popular adult friend finder is. I know that in Canada, plentyoffish.com if very big. Sites like myspace and facebook are a lot lower on the list. Depending on how serious you are about picking a site to make a profile, I wouldn't put one on a site with a rating higher than 2,500 unless you found a site that you really like.

This site is making news everywhere. They are all over the internet, sponsoring parties, on cable television shows, and also in blockbuster movies. It is one of the 50 most visited sites on the internet and doesn't seem to be going anywhere any time soon.

Fake ads

There are always problems with fake ads on dating sites. What sites out there allow this and which don't? People obviously looking to meet singles want to steer clear of those. I have heard that the bigger the site the worse the problem is. For example, Camazon and Hornymatches haven't had as many problems reported recently as others such as adult friend finder.
